Earls Colne Parish Councillors have both an individual and collective responsibility to take decisions fairly, openly and transparently. Earls Colne Parish Councillors meet these expectations by maintaining high standards and demonstrating good conduct . All Parish Councillors agree to the Earls Colne Parish Council Annual Declaration of Compliance

In particular ECPC on behalf of the residents

Raise issues of public concern or work that needs to be undertaken with other authorities such as Braintree District Council, Essex County Council and the Police.
Provide views and comment on planning applications and other proposals that affect the Earls Colne Parish
Maintain public areas and facilities, including the Village Green, the Shrubbery, Pound Green and the play area at the Recreation Club. This includes grass cutting and planting plans in nominated areas.
Manage and operate the Village Hall
Facilitate litter collection and similar activities to preserve the village environment for the benefit of all .
Keep the Parish aware of actions and issues by regular publications on Noticeboards, Facebook and its website.
Represent the Village on other key committees and working parties

This link will navigate to an online directory, which can be searched by Parish/Town Council name. All the Registers for each Parish/Town Council are published as a single PDF document. If you wish to view the Register of Interests in person, they are available for public inspection at the office of the Monitoring Officer at Braintree District Council, Causeway House, Bocking End, Braintree, CM7 9HB during normal office hours.

In order to avoid disappointment, please can you contact the Monitoring Officer or Deputy Monitoring Officer in advance of your attendance at the District Council Offices.
